The palm tree is one of the objects in the world, in my opinion. It is positively sculptural: stately trunk, shapely leaves, sharp lines.
And then there are the associations we have: heat, relaxation, calm, dream. When a movie opens with a shot of palm trees, then we immediately assume we’re in a place of luxury and ease.
Of course, not all of palm trees are tall and statuesque. There are over 2,600 species of palms. Many are shaggy or rigid. But all of them posses a particular iconic presence. They’re sophisticated, they are sculptural, they’re green and they’re lovely as part of their interior landscape.
Actual trees, as well as images of palm trees, add an elegant wildness into a room. They add some green, a bit of romance and some tranquility to any personality. Check them out.

A ponytail palm adds colour, height and even a little humor to this modern room.

This spiky, desert palm is truly a fake. Nonetheless, it brings some green and maintains the room’s clean, modern lines.

If you can develop palm trees from holes in the floor, I say go for it. Any interior feels like a tropical paradise with palms. (This one really is a tropical paradise, but you understand what I believe .)

Palm-pattered wallpaper adds a hint of tropical colonial but without creating an overly themed room. Mixing styles is an important way to prevent things from going overboard.
Even these modern photographs of palm trees add the attractively room and a warm-weather vibe. These natural colours and textures — cream, wood, sisal — look good together.
The more modern, less natural way to incorporate palms into your decoration.

These mini palms are the plants for this room that is beachy. Can anyone tell me what they are?

A palm tree is the most ideal touch of green to get a large, white modern room. It is like a piece of artwork growing there.
A banana palm has broad, fan-like leaves. This room might be pretty sterile without this unruly bit of character.
Palm trees are ideal for even the most traditional and symmetrical rooms.

A fan palm in this bedroom functions as a window display and attracts the tropical into the colonial room.
Everything except the palm in this lovely, light-filled room is either a straight horizontal line or a straight vertical line. The bushy parlor palm tree breaks that up by bringing the organic world in.

I love this sago palm in this bright green egg-shaped planter.

When in doubt, you will find constantly vases. Palm fronds are so bright and simplistic, they could stand alone.
