Although Dickinsons has come a long way from their original roots, they still possess that old Chapel Hill charm.

We offer garden talks to various garden clubs in the area as an opportunity for our community to learn more about gardening in a relaxed environment, ask questions, and enjoy learning on a deeper level. We believe that gardening can be a very therapeutic hobby, especially in the fast paced world which many of us live. It is available for ALL people.Dickinson Garden Center was formed in 1952 after its founders, George & Hazel Dickinson, created a small garden center addition to the front of their house. As the years passed and Chapel Hill began growing as a community, so did their small business. Franklin street became a busy street leading to UNC-Chapel Hill, as well as this little garden center.
